  • Scott Moraes (@scottmoraes23), a student of MBA Sports Management batch 2023-25, was selected to represent the Senior Men’s Indian National Futsal Team (@indianfootball) at the AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers (@afcasiancup). This will be India's debut in the Asian Cup Qualifiers.
  • A champion with a glorious track record, Scott secured the top spot in both 2021 and 2022 as the Hero National Futsal League titleholder.
  • He was honoured with the Best Goalkeeper award in 2021, in addition to being named the Man of the Match in the final of the 2022 season.
  • Scott's active participation in the sport is evident through his journey representing his nation around the globe in China, Brazil, South Africa, Qatar, the Philippines, and England.

  • Swarali Deo student of MBA Sports Management, 2023-25 batch had remarkable accomplishments in Ice Skating, securing Silver in the 300m, Bronze in the 500m, and another Silver in the Relay event at Khelo India Winter Games 2024.
  • Swarali showed immense dedication with the challenging conditions in Leh Ladakh, where high altitude made it difficult to breathe. Despite these obstacles, with the invaluable guidance and support from her coach, Avadhut Tawade, she demonstrated resilience and determination, ultimately achieving remarkable success in the event.

Since a very young age I have been into sports. Sports has been a very crucial part of my life, in which I have learnt to be Dedicated and Determined towards my goals. Before starting off my MBA in Sports Management journey, I completed my graduation in B.Sc. Sports and Exercise Science. While pursuing this I was looking forward to doing my Post Graduation in Sports Management. I came across many options of colleges offering Sports Management. But Somaiya offered a 2-year Post Graduation in Sports Management with placement opportunities. The faculty has a very strong network in the sports industry which helps to offer Internships to students within the Semester to gain experience and knowledge in the industry. In addition, frequent guest lectures and industry visits have helped the students to grow their network as well. Curriculum

Admissions

Aspirants will be shortlisted for the selection process based on meeting the cut-off criteria of any of the following exams: CAT 2023, XAT 2024, GMAT (valid from January 2021 to 18th January 2024), NMAT (only the first attempt will be considered), or CMAT.

Final results will be determined by a combination of the aspirant's overall profile and performance in the Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). Following this, candidates may reselect their preferred programme based on their results.

The institute will allocate seats according to the candidate's results, seat availability, and issue waitlist numbers for additional programme preferences if necessary.
